The third and final shop update is at 11pm EST. If you're addicted to this game, you can feel it's necessary to stay up until that update occurs even if it's not convenient for you.

New cards are added weekly and season passes (with an exclusive, powerful new card) are added monthly. Cards that are more difficult to acquire are made easier to acquire every month; by not playing (or paying) you don't gain access to these new cards. There is also a shop that rotates cards you can buy/unlock every 8 hours, encouraging multiple logins every day. Finally, new missions that provide valuable currency are added every 8 hours as well, feeding the same daily multiple login pattern.
