As of a recent update, the devs have introduced a player character that can be buffed with a hat, an outfit, and an item. The items are obtained from loot boxes that are earned on level completion or bought using diamonds which are also earned when other players use your character to help, or you can purchase diamonds.
As an idle game, grinding is inherently part of the game’s mechanics. However, the grind becomes slower over time until the player winds up doing nothing for minutes at a time to be able to level anything up even a few times. It also encourages the player to watch ads to improve their rewards.
The game does NOT contain forced ads, which is a point in its favor, but its ads-for-rewards system encourages the player to watch ads every few minutes, if not more often, to gain tiny amounts of gems, coins, or overall multipliers.
The game features different locations, which have 4-7 individual “shops” to be opened. The first few shops can be completed quickly, but the last couple in each location require regular check-ins or playing the game actively for multiple hours at a time. There are currently about 60 of these locations in-game, which break into around 300 shops, and the grinding necessary to complete them becomes harder with each new location.
You are able to spend up to $99.99 on 5.5k gems, or spend up to $12.99 on a mixture of gems and loot boxes.
You can pay for a permanent income doubler, which allows you to beat out other players in weekly contests.
There are “daily deals” that cost a dollar and give a small amount of gems and a loot box. There are also weekly events that have a legendary loot box as the final reward, and players have reported that not only is it impossible to complete these event without already owning a legendary item, but the loot boxes also have only a 2% chance of containing one. It is far more likely that players will be rewarded with six common items.
The game has an “apparel” system where players open loot boxes to get clothing of various rarities. Legendary loot boxes cost 200 gems (about $4 worth) and have a 2% chance of containing a legendary item. The player received regular loot boxes in varying numbers every time they upgrade to a new shop, but these have lower rewards.
There are events every week that involve competing against other players and have a legendary loot box as the ultimate reward. The developer has also recently introduced shorter events that punish players for playing the game outside of these specific days by having them miss out on gem rewards or the potential to earn legendary loot crates.
The events feature a scoreboard against other players. You can also invite “other players” to help your shop out for a 5-minute span, every 30 minutes. These players will often have legendary items that drastically improve your income. The kicker is that these aren’t real players, but randomly-generated false accounts that may give the player a false impression of how many legendary items they “should” have.
