Certain songs were released as a promotion for another game or music artist. Some of these songs have never been obtainable outside of their initial limited-time appearance.
Getting all of the free songs in the base game unlocks Unlimited Play until they add more content. This is essentially a 100% collection award, providing something to work towards. However, they made this goal nearly unobtainable for casual players with the Deluxe update. (Deluxe songs take more than double, even quadruple the time of a normal song)
The shop contains a number of genre boxes purchasable with gems. You cannot choose which song to buy; it's random. This also applies to the time-locked cases, as you get a random amount and type of card. During multiplayer events, you can spend tokens to spin a gacha wheel.
Cases reward you 3-5 or 6-8 random genre cards. Songs are unlocked in semi-random order, EVEN if you purchase them from the shop.
Monthly tour pass: $10 non-recurring fee.
Revives have no conformation button. Gem purchases often bring up a second dialog box containing the actual purchase button. (however that's not protected either.)
Yes- the case system acts as both a stamina system and a skippable timer. It is also possible to get extra attempts in multiplayer events by paying.
Weekly events often have short round lengths (about 8-12 hours)
The box rewards system is akin to Clash Royale's chest system, except it also acts as a stamina mechanic. Fill your boxes and then it stops you from playing.
Getting a new high score plays a chime. New stars make noise on the result screen and home screen. Getting a new medal plays a satisfying sound effect, and has the announcer announce the type of medal you earned. When you move down an event leaderboard, you hear a specific sound effect that will eventually instill negative emotions.
