Sort of. Tickets can be purchased to play minigames, which output random rewards. These tickets can be acquired through gameplay as well.
Minigames can be played to unlock random clothing items. These minigames are optional.
It can feel grind-y when you're bored of the current holiday or don't have enough tips to buy new items but you need to continue playing through days to earn tips or get to a new holiday.
There's no end of the game technically because you can continue playing in-game days and once you get to the end of the in-game year, you start the year cycle again. Though, once you've played through a year, you've basically unlocked everything new so there's no real draw in re-playing the year unless you just like playing, want to 100% achievements or mini-games, or collect decor items.
You can pause the game whenever you want but you can't save your progress mid-day (in-game days are the game levels). You have to restart that in-game day's orders if you quit part of the way through.
There are some achievements that you get by progressing in the game (getting to certain holidays, unlocking items, etc) and others for arbitrary tasks (serve the first customer's order last) but they aren't required to enjoy the game. Completed achievements give you a sticker. If you collect three specific stickers for a customer, you can unlock a different costume for them but the costumes are aesthetic only and don't enhance/detract from gameplay. Earned stickers are permanent, not consumable.
The more achievements you complete, the more stickers you get which can unlock new costumes for customers. Some achievements are unlocked just by progressing in the game so you do have to continue playing to get them but you aren't forced/urged to complete any achievements to advance the game.
