Turning coins/gems/tickets into cards is a repetitive task and then using cards to level up other cards is also repetitive.
You can pay for gems and coins and then spend those on cards to level up your other cards and higher level cards give you an advantage over other players.
There is a one-time reward for inviting a friend.

You are given a certain number of discs and you lose a disc every time play a level. There is a timer to gain more discs. Compared to other games, this function isn't very bad because it lets you store 15 discs and you would have to play for over a hour to run out of them.
There is an optional monthly fee and the benefits of it are displayed in the same place you find free benefits.
Card packs are random and there is a possibility but no guarantee of getting really high value cards.
