There are usually sales for the in game currency, but even the sale prices are quite high for a Mobile game. The lowest sale amount is 1000 in game currency for $32 CAD.
Every quest and storyline gives some form of reward. Currency, exp scrolls, items, etc.

Characters released in the present greatly outrank Characters that were released at the beginning of the game. However, some older characters do get updated over time.

Character banners last a few weeks and usually do not return. You are unlikely to pull that featured character off of a different banner, but it is not impossible.
