it requires you to upgrade your inventory using relativaly rare items. you can find them or trade for them in-game but it is far easier to buy them directly using premium currency. additionally, machines to produce items only have a couple slots to queue items, and you have to pay gems to get more than 2 or 3 (depending on the machine). one slot can produce only one item, even if they are the same kinds of items
