You can miss opportunities for getting Rare Monsters, Seasonal Monsters (tied to holiday’s like Christmas, etc.) Most content is available year round, but some are definitely missable.
Yes and no. It’s a island/farm type game, which aren’t really designed to have an ending. You can get all content in the game, but that isn’t an official ending. Not to mention that it gets regularly updated.
When you have not yet made a purchase, the game puts ads between the selection of islands. (This game consists of islands, which you place monsters on. Each island is a different song and for a f2p you can get spammed with ads in between selecting an other island to go to.)
Not directly, but with the premium currency you can skip waiting times. (This currency can be obtained for free, but is faster obtained with money. The ones that skip timers with premium currency are most likely buyers)
Has a “Trinal Island” where everyone in a tribe has to contribute some currency every week to get a special currency back (nearly only obtainable here)(also some diamonds)
A literal daily login calendar and a mine on most island that produces one diamond each day. (Diamonds being the “premium currency”)
Friends can light torches for you, which can increase the chance of you getting a rare monster when it’s available. You can also put their friend code (a slew of letters and numbers randomly assigned to you) in the “referral codes tab”, giving you 2 free diamonds. (The hard to come by, practically premium currency)
The most apparent one is the spin wheel, where you can use “premium currency” (hard to obtain, but obtainable. Easier purchased.) To get an extra attempt on top of your daily free attempt. The less apparent one is monster variants. Rare versions are obtained by trying to breed the regular monsters in the timeframe the Rare one is available. This is completely up to chance and many are gonna skip and retry over and over. (Effectively gambling)
Almost every currency can be bought with money. (Some not directly (For example Diamond->3 relics))Only the xp and “StarPower” (a currency obtained through the club/clan (here it’s tribe) and through some luck (high level monsters can give it randomly with currency collection))
In ways that no one cares about and in no way are a core component of the game. One is a turn based battle mini game everyone hates/ forgets about and the other is the likes your island receive. But most of the game just revolves more around your own experience and not how you stack up to others.
