Recent Dark Pattern Reviews

Artificial Scarcity reported on Apr 30, 2024
Daily events, daily deals in the store for packs which are tailored to the events or challenges currently active
Competition reported on Apr 30, 2024
Events in the game are centred around facing other people's 'ghost hand' where the player puts down a hand and you have to compete against it. Clubs also adds to this which everyone being divided into one of three teams and after 2 days of racing against each other, rewards are dished out for the team which earned the most tiles on the map (as teams race each other to bring down the points of the other team and take over the tile)
Fear of Missing Out reported on Apr 30, 2024
Events and challenges only run for a certain amount of time, and once they are gone, those rewards are also gone
Anchoring Tricks reported on Apr 30, 2024
The shop has multiple tiers of packs available to open, with the more expensive ones giving better cars
Waste Aversion reported on Apr 30, 2024
The game features slots which forces the player to make space for the new cars they earn. Yu can pay gold to increase the number of these and add more cars to your garage
Power Creep reported on Apr 30, 2024
As new cars get released, old cars become less valuable and important. There are less events tailored to the older cars
Gambling / Loot Boxes reported on Apr 30, 2024
The way you earn cars is through buying packs which have a certain percentage chance of giving you a specific rarity of car. The best cars in the game are locked behind the smaller percentage chance of unpacking them
Pay to Skip reported on Apr 30, 2024
You can pay to skip the fuses on the car, the servicing of the car and pay for tickets to enter events and challenges
Wait To Play reported on Apr 30, 2024
Fuses (larger upgrades) on each car take time to complete, which can last from 5 minutes to 56 hours depending on the rarity of the car. You can also only race each car 10 times before the car needs to be 'serviced' and so you have to wait for that to happen before you can use the car again. Tickets, which are used to enter events and challenges also take to replenish
Playing by Appointment reported on Apr 30, 2024
Events in game end at a certain time and if you do not play enough in those events, you get a worse reward
