Recent Dark Pattern Reviews

Playing by Appointment reported on May 2, 2024
There are daily rewards that oftenly expire if not claimed within a few hours of the server daily timer reset. There are also multiplayer competitive events, "Grand Prix"es, where you get a mild competitive edge by delaying your participation as long as possible, often times ending in the middle of the night. There are also multiple other resources tied to time limits that require constant sessions to obtain optimal progress.
Grinding reported on May 2, 2024
The extensiveness of such grinds (Example: Car Hunt events and their derivatives) is oftenly hidden through luck-based rewards featuring extremely poor odds.
Infinite Treadmill reported on May 2, 2024
The game essentially doesn't have a main objective, and new content is added very regularly. Due to their artificial scarcity, be it by limited availability, bloated costs and whatnot, it's essentially impossible to obtain content as fast as it is released.
Invested / Endowed Value reported on May 2, 2024
Personal progression is extremely stretched out, ammounting to years of investment, and is made into a major aspect of the game by it's community and in-game events.
Accidental Purchases reported on May 2, 2024
Most in-game currency purchases are one click away from the player, however, there is an option for an added safeguard confirmation before spending premium currency (Tokens). It is hidden in an unrelated settings menu, is turned off by default and the game never tells you about it existing.
Recurring Fee reported on May 2, 2024
There are multiple subscription deals, that vary in value, and also include a discount on renewing your next purchase, pushing a vicious cycle.
Power Creep reported on May 2, 2024
Cars generally keep their use and are often tied to exclusive benefits that can always appear again. However, the game makes an agressive push for chasing newer content, and the competitive side of items is at constant risk of being overshadowed.
Reciprocity reported on May 2, 2024
Only minimally, with a very strict and limited donation feature that is also exclusive to one in-game type of currency.
Pay Wall reported on May 2, 2024
Almost all in-game activities have previous content requirements, which greatly benefit only long time players.
Anchoring Tricks reported on May 2, 2024
This game pulls every single predatory trick you can think of when it comes to it's monetization deals.
