I don't know if it fits here, but there are limited Live Shows that give the players rewards for watching them. For actual gameplay, if you want to compete in an event you have a limited time frame as well, but I think that's another issue.
Game offers a Premium Mission Pass where you can get costumes for characters if you get enough show points and Colorful+, a monthly subscription that gives you bonus show points and other items.
There is bundles you can buy, but their amount is limited per month.
you can play all you want, but once your energy drinks run out you'll get barely any rewards
There are login bonuses for every day (30 Crystals, which becomes 100 every 7 days, and 50 Virtual Coins). There are other login bonus campaigns that run for special occasions (Valentine's Day, White Day, Halloween, New Year's, etc.)
This is a bit of a stretch-- if you are trying to level up cards, character ranks or your own player rank, you might have to do a lot of "shows" (ie: rhythm game charts) in a row, which may become tedious. However, this is in no way required to play the game, as you can use whichever cards/characters you like, and unless you want really high scores, it doesn't matter so much.
You can exchange real life money for Crystals, which are used for the gacha mechanic among other things, along with other items that act as a sort of "currency". Crystals gained through actual gameplay and Crystals gained through purchasing are treated as separate (Free Crystals and Paid Crystals in game respectively), however.
Limited gacha banners only last for about a week or two at a time, and there is no permanent gacha banner (as of writing, in the English version) other than the 3* Or Higher voucher one.
Sort of-- there is a "bonus energy" mechanic, which is *presented* as a sort of "use these to play and wait until they restore" type of thing, but they are actually not needed to play the game itself, only to yield high rewards. Playing a show (rhythm game chart) without the use of bonus energy just means you don't get as many rewards after completing it as you would if you did have some-- so this becomes a non-issue if you are simply interested in playing the rhythm game.
There is an optional monthly subscription called COLORFUL+, which is advertised upon opening the game every month (you are given the option to not show the popup again each month). It gives the user rewards and exclusive costumes to put on characters.
