Yes- the case system acts as both a stamina system and a skippable timer. It is also possible to get extra attempts in multiplayer events by paying.

Cases reward you 3-5 or 6-8 random genre cards. Songs are unlocked in semi-random order, EVEN if you purchase them from the shop.

The box rewards system is akin to Clash Royale's chest system, except it also acts as a stamina mechanic. Fill your boxes and then it stops you from playing
