It hides anything relating to losses and only shows wins on profiles. There aren't any indicators to how friends are doing, but you can spectate them mid-match and see if they win or lose.

Yes. I don't know why this is dark pattern, there are also co-op events but yes the main game modes are versus.

BATTLE IN MULTIPLE GAME MODES
