The events are on top of each other without breaks between them, that way it is forcing players to spend more and more real money on it to be able to keep up. If you miss an event your progress slows down and won't be able to catch up to the other players. And certain rewards are appearing yearly.

There are certain events when you get the items based on your "luck" with x amount of free daily rolls, and then you can buy more chances with ingots. It is all related to "luck" and the in-game % for the best rewards are really-really low, almost impossible to get them unless you spend a huge amount off real money.
